Do you have an interest in being more involved in our work? Consider joining us as a volunteer. To apply for any of the following volunteer roles, fill out the form below.

Board Member

As a Board Member, you will help staff with conservation projects, organize events, raise funds, and increase public awareness of our conservation work.

Time commitment: 4 board meetings a year (weekday meetings in the evenings), help with occasional events, about 6-10 hours per year on fundraising activities.

Skills needed: enthusiasm, good organizational skills, reliability.

Skills developed: learn how non-profits work, fundraising skills, have fun networking, get behind the scenes on conservation campaigns.

Communications Assistant

As a Communications Assistant, you will write articles, submit or take photos, and help with our chapter newsletter.

Time commitment: 5-10 hours per year

Skills needed: photography, writing or desktop publishing, interest in communications.

Skills developed: publishing, design, marketing and journalistic skills.

Social Networking

Help promote our activities by sharing stories, videos and photos online (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, website)

Time commitment: as much time as you want to spend online! 1-2 hours per month would help.

Skills needed: familiarity with online networking and social media.

Skills developed: you’ll be learning about our conservation programs while honing your communications and writing skills.
